Trauma/Cracked Teeth

Saving cracked teeth is an important part of Advanced Endodontic Therapy’s practice. It’s important to have early diagnosis of cracked teeth because they can deepen over time, increasing the likelihood of an extraction. Our microscope helps us detect and treat tooth cracks before they get to the stage where an extraction is necessary.

Tooth trauma includes any injury to the mouth, the most common being a broken, displaced, loosened or knocked out tooth. Treatment is determined by the severity of the injury and can range from monitoring the injured tooth or teeth over time to repositioning or reimplanting loose or knocked out teeth. If injuries include trauma to the pulp of the tooth, a root canal treatment may also be necessary.
